We just come back from our first visit with my lovely grandmother :')
She was sick.
Diagnosed with brain injury.
Infections in lungs.
And she's 79.
My father's mom :)
But she doesn't recognize me since I was little. She's suffering from Alzheimer
since 1960.
You know how painful it is to watch a person's body and mind deteriorate.
There are some good days, and some bad days.
Luckily, my grandmom that we named her nenek Sepang is able to recognizing her daughter and
son (my ayah).
Of course the sincere interactions is sure to touch my heart.
She also realize that her children had grown up but couldn't exactly remember
everything about them,
I guess Allah loves her more than us.
She was tested and people around her also get tested including me and le familia.
For my father,
Paradise lies beneath her feet.
All I can do right now is keep praying the best for you, grandmom and mom.
Because Allah Knows Best and Better for all of us.
I believe that everyone did their best.
Insyaallah.
May Allah Forgive us for every imperfections that we had.
Oh ya! Amzingly, she enjoys being treated like a baby :)
Touch is also a powerful and healing thing and often people in long-term care suffer from lack of it.
So, we gently rub some oil into her leg and ayah gently brushing her hair.
Even she can't understand what we're saying but she still can respond
some part of Mak Teh's questions. :)
Like,
'mak hari ni hari ape?'
'rabu'
'mak, rukun iman ada berapa?'
and etc :)
yes, there will be an element of frustration and I don't think we can do much about that aside
acknowledging it.
but, insyaallah everything will be alright.
Then, we bid farewell to her and Mak Teh and Ayah's driving us back to KL.
Ayah got work to do.

Then, mama replaced his place and after sending ayah home.
We're ready for Iftar at Nasi Kerabu at Sri Gombak.
So, Sara, Mas, Maryam, Khael, Mama and me decided to have
nasi kerabu ayam percik, carrot susu and etc..
Mom takes a picture of us and perhaps it made her day heheh.
What is Nasi Kerabu Ayam Percik?
Well, it is a traditional Malaysian dish that is famous for its blue rice.
Haha,.
In addition to the rice, this filling dish also contains fish,
which is the base or the kerabu, or vegetable mixture.
The other elements of typical nasi kerabu are the coconut-based sweet and salty
sauce and the garnish.
But, that is no the best nasi kerabu I had ever because the ayam is smaller than my imagination.
And the price is quite expensive. haha.
Munirah. Don't complain.
Alhamdulillah, everyone enjoys their meals.
Then there's another problem for me and mama because my mama wanted to
buy me a new raya shoes for anak gajah.
Anak Gajah Is Me.
Well, since I was 10 or something like that,
finding shoes for me is a very difficult tasks because I have this very special
size of foot/feet/fet/fot hahaha.
Kaki anak gajah.
Finally, after about one hour i found the desirable shoes and mama said
'take this and happy birthday'

Thank you mama.
Having somewhere to go is home. Having someone to love is family.
Having both is a blessing. Right?
and I had promise to myself to improve everything about me
day by day.
